Frequently asked questions

Answers about SiteTrack, data centers, project data, and Chat with Engineer.

SiteTrack platform

SiteTrack is a construction platform for installation tracking, project collaboration, attendance, documents, and Chat with Engineer. It helps contractors, subcontractors, workers, and partners follow work on site while connecting trusted knowledge to live project context.

Main contractors, subcontractors, site workers, property teams, and construction data center partners. Companies manage projects and teams. Workers scan QR codes, complete tasks, and log attendance. Engineers and site leads use Chat with Engineer for grounded answers during the day.

Chat with Engineer is SiteTrack's assistant for construction teams. It searches indexed knowledge and your permitted project context, then replies in plain language. Answers show which sources were used so teams can verify before acting on site.

Data centers & knowledge

A data center is a trusted knowledge partner on SiteTrack, not a physical server room. Partner organizations in Finland and the EU curate construction libraries with standards, specifications, supplier documents, trade guidance, and other approved material. That library is indexed and made searchable for connected projects.

Approved data center partners upload knowledge through the data center dashboard. They can add PDF and office files, written articles, or approved website sources, tag them by construction topic and language, and choose whether to index them for search. Super administrators onboard new data center partners and configure portfolio topics.

Indexed knowledge is used by authorized SiteTrack users on connected projects: engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and workers with access to Chat with Engineer. Public visitors can try Chat with Engineer on the website within configured limits. Data center staff manage uploads. Super administrators oversee partners and system settings.

Project data is live information from your site: apartments, tasks, photos, attendance, files, and team membership. Data center knowledge is curated reference material maintained by partner libraries. Chat with Engineer combines both when you have access, so answers can reflect standards and your current project context.

When a project is linked to active data center topics, relevant library content becomes searchable for that project. Contractors and teams ask questions in Chat with Engineer. The system retrieves matching entries, ranks them, and uses them to compose a reply with source references.

Storage, privacy & security

SiteTrack stores application data in secure databases and file storage used by your SiteTrack environment. Knowledge search uses vector indexes, often powered by Qdrant when configured. Partner data centers are associated with Finland and EU hosting. Exact locations depend on your deployment and subprocessors described in our privacy policy.

Access follows role and project membership. Contractors, assigned subcontractors, invited workers, and authorized data center staff only see what their role allows. Public project listings show only information marked for directory use. You control team invites and project visibility within the platform.

SiteTrack is designed for European privacy requirements. We provide a privacy policy, cookie policy, GDPR rights page, registration consent, and in-app tools to export or erase personal data where applicable. Organizations using SiteTrack remain responsible for lawful bases when they upload personal or project data about their teams.

Your organization retains responsibility for content you upload. Data center partners control the reference libraries they publish. SiteTrack processes and hosts data to operate the service under our terms of service and agreements with customers and partners.

Getting started

Register on the website with your name, email, and company details. Confirm your email with a one-time code or sign up with Google after accepting the privacy policy and terms. Contractors can then create projects and invite teams.

Workers are invited by a contractor or subcontractor administrator. They sign in with the invited email, scan QR codes on site for attendance, and open assigned apartments and tasks from the worker dashboard.

Contact SiteTrack to discuss partnership. Super administrators create the data center, assign portfolio topics, and grant staff access. Your team can then upload and maintain knowledge libraries for connected construction domains.

Use the contact form for sales and general questions. Signed-in users can send support requests from the dashboard. For privacy or data rights questions, see our GDPR page or email the contact address in the footer.
